Hon. Anthony Wamala, Minister of Culture, Traditional Affairs, Tourism, and Security, has cautioned Miss Tourism not to waste their opportunities and urged them to transform their efforts into income-generating businesses.
Minister Wamala voiced the warning when the beauty queens visited his office in Mengo to discuss their intentions to develop tourism in Buganda and to seek assistance.
The Honourable stated that if these beauty queens take advantage of their potential to promote tourism in their home provinces, it will enhance tourism in various parts of Buganda and raise royal treasury revenue.
He also advised the Misses to return to school and expand their education so that career prospects would become available to them.
Nabakungulu Vanessa Hanna of Buddu, Sanyu Ruth Mugabi of Kyaddondo, Jemimmah Bright, and Nansukusa Esther were among the beauty queens leaders who attended the ceremony and committed to work with the Kingdom to promote tourism in Buganda and Uganda as a whole.
