Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata launched Ekisaakate Kya Nnaabagereka 2025 under the theme "Integrating Culture with Technology."

The 18th edition of Ekisaakate will take place at St. Janan School in January 2025, and she urged parents and schools to emphasise indigenous languages to help improve understanding of cultural matters.

While launching Ekisaakate at Bulange in Mengo, Nnaabagereka Sylvia expressed her dissatisfaction with teachers prioritising English over encouraging children to speak their native languages. She pointed out that English should be a supplementary language, as it is in foreign countries.

She explained that Ekisaakate 2025 will significantly contribute to the development of young children, especially in terms of personal growth and spreading knowledge about our traditions and culture through the internet and other media channels.

The Minister for the Gender Department and Nnaabagereka's Office Affairs, Owek. Choltilda Nakate Kikomeko, emphasised that organising Ekisaakate is crucial in the effort to elevate Buganda, focusing on five core pillars, including preserving and safeguarding the throne.

Subsequently, Nnaabagereka handed over the Ekisaakate flag to the head of St. Janan School, Micheal Kironde, as a symbol of the responsibility entrusted to him.
