Hon. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule was addressing the women from the Mothers Union community
Married women from various Provincial Mother's Unions within the Church of Uganda celebrated their day, with the Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko, Hon. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, as the chief guest.
During the event held at the residence of the Archbishop of Uganda, Dr Steven Kazimba Mugalu, Mugumbule urged women to prioritise raising their children, emphasising that they spend the most time with them within the family.
Additionally, Mugumbule highlighted the importance of avoiding unnecessary conflicts within marriages, as they can hinder communication and even jeopardise the relationship. He thanked the Mother's Union for promoting effective family management.
The ceremony also served as a fundraiser for the construction of the Provincial Mother's Union headquarters, showcasing the commitment of the Church members to furthering the welfare of families and strengthening community ties.
