Oweek. Bwanika addressing the importance of teaching children their culture

Oweek. Christopher Bwanika said this during a prayer service celebrating Cultural and Traditional Week organised by Adventists at Mount Olive Church, Kira Central District, led by Pastor Kristo Kiragga.

Oweek. Bwanika highlighted the importance of teaching children their culture and traditions so they understand their heritage and realise that culture is not evil but rather an essential part of their identity, just as Jesus Christ had his own cultural background.

Isaac Mpanga, a representative in the Buganda Parliament, who was one of the organisers and a worshipper at Mount Olive Church Nnaalya, stated that the Church passed a resolution to welcome the Buganda Kingdom to further educate on various cultural aspects.

Pastor Kristo Kiragga, one of the leaders in this praise, affirmed the significant role that culture plays in shaping behaviour and attitudes and emphasised the importance of preserving it.
