Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, the second deputy prime minister, conveyed the news of the upcoming funeral ceremony for Venetia Sebudandi,
The Buganda Kingdom will be actively involved in honouring her during the send-off.
Expressing his condolences, Waggwa emphasized the significant void left by Sebudandi's passing within the Buganda Kingdom.
He highlighted her virtues, describing her as a kind, humble, and respectful individual who generously assisted anyone seeking her help
Miss Venetia Sebudandi, born October 29, 1954, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Kigali, Rwanda, after an illness.
A prominent diplomat, she served as Rwanda's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, ambassador to Russia, and held key roles in foreign affairs.
She will be laid to rest in Rusororo, Rwanda, on November 18, 2023. Venetia Sebudandi, educated at Makerere University and the University of Westminster, leaves behind a legacy of diplomatic service.
