Hon. Noah Kiyimba at the Namirembe memorial service
Buganda Kingdom has mourned the passing of Dr.Aggrey Kiyingi who died in Australia where he was living. The memorial service was held at Namirembe Cathedral.
In a message delivered by Hon. Noah Kiyimba, the Katikkiro praised the work of the late who he said was a very specialized cardiologist, an arrow in the development of technology and the introduction of smart devices in Buganda and Uganda.
Dr. A.S. Kiyingi was instrumental in supporting CBS FM in its establishment and supporting the work of the Kingdom and donated several electronic devices.
On behalf of the Kingdom, he extended his deepest condolences to Hon. Nelson Mugenyi, the King's Ambassador to Sweden and Scandinavia, Official Fredrick Lukwabwe Kisirikko, for the loss of their brother, Widow Mayimuna Nakayiira Kiyingi, orphans, relatives, and friends and Omutaka Lwomwa for the loss of his grandson who has been a great pillar in the Sheep clan.
He thanked God for the life of Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi and prayed that God should have mercy on his soul and console his people in this difficult time
On his behalf, Hon. Noah Kiyimba said that during his studies at Nkumba High School, Dr Kiyingi donated electronic equipment and said that for his acquired technical skills, the deceased laid a foundation, so he also sympathized with all the people for the loss of Dr Aggrey Kiyingi.
After the memorial service at Namirembe Cathedral, Dr.Kiyingi’s body was taken to the home of their late father, Azalia Kiyingi Ssebbowa at Busukuma, Namulonge(Wakiso district) for a funeral.
Dr.Kiyingi’s body will be laid to rest on Tuesday (31/10/2023) at 4pm at Busukuma Namulonge.
