The Prince of Edinburgh, Prince Edward Antony Richard Louis, has partnered with the Prince of Edinburgh, Prince Edward Antony Richard Louis, to promote youth development by competing in the International Awards. The ceremony took place at the Royal Palace on Wednesday and the agreement was signed by William Blick on behalf of Prince Edward and Mr. Roland Ssebuufu and the President of BICUL put on behalf of Buganda, and all this was done in the presence of the Chief Minister Charles Peter Mayiga and Prince Edward.

Prince Edward and his team were welcomed by the Katikkiro, Princes Agnes Nabaloga and the Buganda Princes Wassajja and Junju.

The agreement will result in various programs and projects that will provide skills and development to the youth of Buganda.

Speaking on the occasion, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga explained that many agreements have been signed between Buganda and the England

and it is a unique opportunity as the Kingdoms of Buganda and the UK have many things in common and have tried to work together.

Katikkiro Main improving said this is evident in the letter that King Muteesa I wrote to Queen Victoria of England asking her to come and teach his people to read and write and this is where the present Uganda originated.

Chief Mayiga added that the King gave his generation to the youth to further see their importance in improving the future of Buganda and Uganda as it depends on them.

The Hon. Mayiga said the agreement will help give youths the skills and determination to develop as 70 per cent of the 14 million in Buganda are under the age of 30 which means they need to be focused on.

He explained that it makes no sense to call themselves the Landscape of Africa as Winston Churchill called Uganda when they cannot improve the future of the youth of Uganda and Buganda.

After the agreement, the Katikkiro visited Prince Edward some of the historical paintings in the Royal Palace and introduced him to some of the ministers and various officials.

The meeting was attended by Queen Agnes Nabaloga, Prince Crispin Jjunju, Prince David Wasajja and various Ministers of the King
