Owek. Mariam Mayanja Nkalubo Nasejje, Minister for Gender and Natural Resources in the Kingdom, has urged parents not to neglect their children.

She emphasized the importance of caring for and supporting children to help them grow into responsible and productive members of society.

She made these remarks while meeting with the organizing committee for Buganda Children’s Day, scheduled for next week on the 12th at the Lubiri in Mengo.

Owek. Nkalubo highlighted that parents should closely monitor their children and understand the challenges they face in life. She also cautioned against excessive pampering, as it can negatively affect their development.

She called on schools to bring children to the event, as there will be valuable lessons to learn from various speakers.

The Chairperson of the organizing committee, Esther Nakafu, stated that parents will benefit greatly from learning about child-related issues, which will help improve their children’s lives.
