Princess Diana Balizzamuggale as she appeared
Princess Diana Balizzamuggale will be laid to rest on Monday, 22 December 2025, at the Kasubi Royal Tombs.
The Katikkiro of Buganda has announced the burial arrangements for Princess Diana Balizzamuggale, daughter of His Majesty Kabaka Edward Muteesa II and the younger sister of His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II, who passed away.
The committee overseeing all burial preparations is chaired by the Buganda Minister for Culture and Traditions, Owek. Dr Anthony Wamala. Other members include Buganda Minister David F.K. Mpanga, the Kingdom Treasurer Omuk. John Kitenda, the Katikkiro of the Kasubi Royal Tombs David Nkalubo, and the Secretary for Protocol in the Office of the Katikkiro, Omuk. Josephine Nantege Ssemanda.
The vigil for the late Princess will be held today, Sunday, 21 December 2025, at the Kasubi Royal Tombs. On Monday, prayers for her soul will be conducted at the Church of Uganda in Kasubi, after which she will be laid to rest at 8:00 a.m. at the Kasubi Royal Tombs.
